    Our Story


    Jason Melhorn, our founder, brings a wealth of experience to The Beerded Goat Brewing Company, which he opened in July 2023 in The Union Station mixed-use development in Dauphin County. As the owner of two neighboring restaurants also in Union Station, Benaiah's Wood Fired Kitchen and Hops & Barleys Pub & Grill, Jason has a strong investment in the community. Jason also owns Hops & Barleys in Mechanicsburg and Middletown, which have been in business since 2017 so he's no stranger to managing successful restaurants. Jason has a deep-rooted commitment to excellence in both culinary and brewing arts. His passion for crafting unique flavors and providing top-notch hospitality shines through in every aspect of our brewery.
